Can We See Allah?
We learn from the Quran and the hadith that no one in this life can ever see Allah. There are a number of hadiths on this topic. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, “Know that you will not see your Lord until you die.", “Death is a barrier between us and the meeting with Allah.”
We also know about this fact from the story of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) mentioned in the Quran: “And when Moses arrived at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, “My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You.” [ Allah ] said, “You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in place, then you will see Me.” But when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He rendered it level (to the ground), and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke, he said, “Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers.” (Surah al-Araaf :143)
According to the hadith, it states that we can't see Allah in this world, but believers will see Allah after death in Paradise. This is the most beautiful reward for believers. The vision will be as clear and certain as seeing “the moon on the night when it is full” and “the sun on a cloudless day” (Sahih al-Bukhari)
